Interesting.... I powercycled the gorram blu-ray drive and reloaded makemkv and now it's ripping the disc.

I hate computers. Maybe I'll just put on puppet shows from now on. Stupid movies and technology. ;-P

.... yep. "11 titles ripped"

As Roseanna Roseannadanna would say....

Code: Select all

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/PLAYLIST/00059.mpls' at offset '0'
It's an indication of a damaged disc or bad drive.

The disc passed visual inspection with 99%+ perfection - a few pieces of surface dust, no scratches at all. As I supplemented shortly after the first post, power-cycling the blu-ray drive and restarting MakeMKV solved the problem. It might be nice of MakeMKV to know about such things and just make that suggestion upon finding these kinds of errors. ;-) Heck, maybe the program could power-cycle the drive automagically and then try to rip the disc again! :-D

Hi!

Sounds like your drive is in a gradual death spiral.

Nothing lasts forever...
