Before I log off I'll pass on a tip;
For ages I couldn't get playback to work without blocky and sound issues.
Eventually I discovered my playback device could do quite high bit rates
but choked if the files were variable bitrate.
Re-encoding as fixed bitrate through ffmpeg solves that every time.
It takes time and is a pain but you only need do it once.
