Death at a funeral - crashes OS X kernel

#1 Post by patmans » Sun Jan 19, 2020 11:53 pm

So bad it crashed OS X twice now!

This:

panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff800d2284e7): "IOSCSIPeripheralDeviceType05::setPowerState(0xffffff80302adb50 : 0xffffff7f8d8fd18a, 3 -> 0) timed out after 101301 ms"@/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/xnu/xnu-6153.61.1/iokit/Kernel/IOServicePM.cpp:5302

OS X: 10.15.2

makemkv: 1.14.7 [darwin(x64-release)]

I also have virtual box drivers installed.

Last I tried with (I think) with High Sierra, the rip would just get lots of errors, run super slow and then I'd stop it.

And on a linux kernel, I couldn't even get it to dd it even if skipping bad blocks (even with sg_dd coe / noerror or such).

Sadly I give up for now.
