50% Error Rate

Newish to this process and have been hitting around 50% error rates with Blue Ray DVD. I have attached latest Log from a failed attempt.

Running Fedora 24 on i7Nuc with Samsung BDDVDW SE-506CB TS02

Do you have access to another drive to test?

"MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR" is a report from the drive to the operating system (and then to MakeMKV) saying that the disk was unreadable at the point shown. You've covered the majority of the reasons why it could be happening, which leaves the drive.

But I'd try cleaning the disk again, because bad drives are really a lot more rare than a bit of haziness on the disk. Especially if the location of the error moves a bit between attempts. It may help to increase the error retry count above the default of 5.
