Monsters Vs. Aliens

I'm at a loss here. I'm trying to rip a blu-ray copy of Monsters vs Aliens using MakeMKV 1.8.1. Every time I try to rip it, the rip stops in the exact same place, 13062.3 MB. At first I thought the disc must be dirty or damaged, so I exchanged the disc for another and it is stopping in the EXACT same spot with the following error:

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00024.m2ts' at offset '17013276672'

I have ripped over 100 Blu-Rays with MakeMKV using the same drive, same computer, etc., and with no problems, so I'm confident it's not a hardware issue. Has anyone else run into this issue or have any ideas that might help me out? The fact that I can't rip this one disc is driving me insane!

Blu-ray doesn't have any copy protection that stops a disc from being read, however your drive is saying it is unable to read the disc. If you are confident you have no hardware issues the only explanation is a damaged/dirty/defective disc.

It is common for bad discs to be pressed in batches, which is why you're finding your exchanged disc has the same issue. I'm currently having this issue with the Monsters Inc special edition 3D disc, I'm on my 4th one and it still won't read correctly.
