I recently had a harddrive crash and lost my rip of Avatar. I attempted to make another mkv from the same blu-ray and always received a fatal error, no file saved. I cleaned the disk and got the same result. The disc is not scratched or damaged in any way. The original rip was done sometime after Avatar was released, so it was ripped with a older copy of MakeMkv.
I ripped the disc with DVDFab no problem and created the mkv from that rip. Again no problem. Something has crept into 1.7.6 that doesn't allow ripping of Avatar.
