Hi There,
I'm currently trying to back-up the 3 disc set Human Planet. The discs appear to rip no problem, but playback is interspersed with pixellation and is basically un-watchable in VLC player. From the small bit of reading I've done this appears to be a problem with the vc-1 video format, but others appear to have been able to hear audio, but see no picture.
Help...

Hi!
If, in fact, your problem is due to playing back VC-1 content on VLC, try using a different player, such as the (free) "Splash Lite" player...

Re: Human Planet
Thanks for the info. Splashlite seems to play the video fine, but looks like I have to buy the "pro" version to get the DTS audio to play...

It's funny, Jurassic park is VC-1 as well, but plays back no prob on VLC player
Re: Human Planet
The issue is only related to interlaced VC-1, not VC-1 in general.Foxenhimr wrote:It's funny, Jurassic park is VC-1 as well, but plays back no prob on VLC player
