Can't read Blu ray discs at all
Re: Can't read Blu ray discs at all
Is it possible that your drive is only a DVD reader?
Blu-rays use a different wavelength of light laser to read discs. Most combo drives have two lasers in them, one for CDs and DVDs and one for blu-rays.

The third line of your drive information says:
Assuming the drive is a slim drive where either the lid lifts up to allow a disc to be inserted or a tray ejects for the disc, you should be able to see the laser assembly pretty easily and verify there are two lasers.
Which is what made me wonder if the hardware was DVD only.Current profile: DVD-ROM
