1:1 copy of Blu-ray disc (encrytion included), possible?

Post by johannu »

Hallo,

I want to make a 1:1 copy (all encrytion included) of my Blu-ray disc on my optical disc drive (LG WH16NS60) that has bus encryption.

I tried two different methods using latest Windows 10 x64, but wasn't successfull at all.

Method 1:
1. Inserted Bluy-ray disc into my optical disc drive
2. Started makemkv and made a Backup without option "Decrypt video files"
3. Made an ISO file of the Backup folder using ImgBurn
4. Burnt ISO file to a BD-RE disc using ImgBurn
5. Checked AACS using command "aacskeys f:" (f is the letter of my ODD). I got: Error reading AACSAUTH VID. ERROR: READVIDAACSAUTH: SK: 0x5, ASC: 0x24, ASCQ: 0x00, errnr: -2
6. Tried to play the copy in my TV Blu-ray player without success

Method 2:
1. Inserted Bluy-ray disc into my optical disc drive
2. Defeated bus encyrption of my optical disc drive using command "makemkvcon64.exe info f:" (f is the letter of my ODD)
3. Made an ISO file of the Blu-ray disc using DD

Mhh, same error with two different methods. What I am doing wrong? Or is it not at all possible to make a 1:1 copy of a Blu-ray disc all encryption included?

Thank you!

The idea is to remove all encryption. I don't think it's possible to retain all encryption as an ISO doesn't contain certain data from the disc that is required as part of AACS..
Cheers :D
