I'm well below 10% success on ripping Blu-Rays now. Every time I try to make an .mkv, I get messed-up audio. Either it's the wrong language or it's out-of-sync by a few hundred milliseconds or it's the commentary track or whatever.
I'm just using Windows Media Player to test the rips, and I go through every audio track that was extracted. It makes no difference.
The drive I'm using is an external USB3: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CS9 ... UTF8&psc=1. The machine I'm using has no bays for an external drive, so this was the compromise.
If the issues I'm having are related to the drive, is there a USB solution to my problem?
Can the choice of drive affect the audio result in ripping a Blu-Ray?
Re: Can the choice of drive affect the audio result in ripping a Blu-Ray?
No, the rip will give you the same audio content. There will be a difference in the actual files (if you do a comparison), in that the individual files get "serial number" of sorts, but the content will be the same.

Don't use Windows media player. Use something better such as VLC or MPC-HC. This way you should have all of the codecs.foodini wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 3:47 amI'm well below 10% success on ripping Blu-Rays now. Every time I try to make an .mkv, I get messed-up audio.
