"Manual" mode for blurays

Post by thetoad »

So TV show blurays (I've seen it on Animes), doesn't have per episode playlists, but simply a single playlist that it jumps into the middle of for individual episodes (and hence will continue playing from that point till end of playlists). This is suboptimal for ripping to MKV. It be nice if one could specify to rip from chapter x to chapter y. (where the rip will start with the beginning of chapter x and go to the beginning of chapter y+1, or end of playlist if chapter y is the last chapter)

It might be harder on BDs than for DVD. I've seen BDs where the opening title and credits are in two separate m2ts files, and the "main" m2ts has everything except those. The playback jumps between the main file and the titles for each episode... In the most recent case, there 56 episodes in the main file ("SD on Bluray"), and that would be LOT of manual entries...
