Walt Disney Short Films Collection

Post by pusta »

Just received my blu-ray today and was hoping to rip to put on my Plex. When I open the disk in MakeMKV, I get a list of ~20 1 chapter titles. Any ideas on what to rip?

Everything, then sort through the output files afterwards.

As far as makemkv is concerned a video is a video, only you can tell the difference.

I am trying to make this blu-ray into mkv for Plex as well. Problem I am having is the correct playlist is 601, you can see if when you brows the folder but Makemkv is not picking it up even if I put the minimum title length to zero.

PLAYLIST REPORT:

Name: 00601.MPLS
Length: 0:10:19.410 (h:m:s.ms)
Size: 2.863.564.800 bytes
Total Bitrate: 36,98 Mbps

How do I manually select the correct playlist if makemkv does not show it?

On a BD, there is no manual option.

I'd suggest following the instructions in the FAQ in my signature. Send the files asked for to svq@makemkv.com so that Mike can come up with a disk-specific SVQ to handle it.

The 601.mpls is a single-clip entry. In this case MakeMKV adds the corresponding M2TS directly. For 601.mpls the clip name is 301.m2ts . That's how MakeMKV adds it.

Code: Select all

003307:0000 File 00301.m2ts was added as title #81

Did anyone successfully figure out all the correct MPLS for this disc?

Did you treat it like a tv series? with file names like... s01e01, s01e02 etc.

And was the metadata correctly applied?

Thanks!

I usually do what the second post in this topic suggests - I just rip everything (excepting things that are obvious to me, which you'll get to know according to your own preferences the more you rip), and then sort through it afterwards.

For shorts, I don't name them like a TV series, no. I name them by their titles, for alphabetical listing, but I keep them all within a folder for the disc.
