So I have an issue that is driving me mad - I'm just trying to understand the logic behind it more than anything.
I have a bluray rip that is in my cloud storage, I download it to my computer and run MakeMKV.
It throws up a load of errors relating to corrupt or invalid offset, attempting workaround. (this is fine, this is not the issue). It will for example return 55 errors regarding this, I run the same file again and again and it will keep returning 55 errors.
If I delete the file and re-download it from the cloud, and run it again through MakeMKV, it will return a different amount of errors, say for example 40 errors, I then re-run the file again and again and it returns 40 errors everytime.
I redownload the file again, and it will bring back a different amount of errors. And so on and so on.
My question is - as the file in my cloud doesnt ever change and remains the same, why does it return a different amount of errors each time I re-download it - shouldnt it just return the same amount of errors everytime I download it, as its the same file. (I could understand if it was reading it from a disc each time, but its not).
Its sort of bugging me why, and just trying to understand it as it doesnt make sense.
I'm not bothered its throwing up error messages, this is obviously a different issue altogether.
Thanks in advance.

Verify the hash/md5/sha if the different downloads and see if they are actually the same or if there are corruptions happening on download
