I have full ISO backups made with MakeMKV/Disk Utility on my Mac of my BDs that I can open with vlc/java and watch like on regular BD Player using the menus. It works fine. Great
Is there a solution so I can do the same on Apple TV. Open de BD ISO files and use the menus?
Thx
Play your ISO Backups on Apple TV
Re: Play your ISO Backups on Apple TV
I'm not aware of any. I think on AppleTV apps are more or less limited to playing files that tvOS can play. Often the menus on Blu-rays are rendered using Java, which probably isn't available on tvOS.
There are, however, the myriad of things like Plex, 8Player, Infuse, etc.
If you're just looking for a solution to be able to watch the movie and any extras that are on the disc, it is possible to rip all that stuff on a disc into separate files. Plex at least, has the ability to group all that stuff together, so the 'extras' are on the same screen as the main movie. That's not quite the same as navigating a DVD or blu-ray menu.

Thanks, It is clear now that no such solution exists. A Dune HD media player might be the solution for playing ISOs
