Xam'd Lost Memories Subtitles in wrong location
Xam'd Lost Memories Subtitles in wrong location
All of the video and audio stuff rips fine using this program but i notice (especially during the title sequence of each episode) that the subtitles are moved to the upper left-hand corner. This makes it difficult to read things like signs sometimes. I am using MakeMKV 1.6.2x64

Hi!
It sounds like your anime BluRays may have been improperly converted from PAL to NTSC (or vice versa).
Do your original, commercial Blu-ray discs display the same problematic behavior?

No, when i play the disc using Blu-ray playing software on my computer (i dont have a blu-ray player) the subtitles are center bottom, except for signs, which are close to the text they are translating

Well, MakeMKV leaves subtitles unchanged. They are either authored this way or it's a player issue. What player do you use?

For disc playing i use TotalMedia and for the MKVs i use Media Player Classic HC with CCCPmike admin wrote:Well, MakeMKV leaves subtitles unchanged. They are either authored this way or it's a player issue. What player do you use?

Turns out this is a codec problem... Should have done this before but i searched the CCCP forum and found that it is a problem that is not uncommon. the PGS format that blu-ray uses for subtitles is not quite fully ready in ffdshow, they get moved to 0,0. Thanks for the help, and keep developing this fine program!

Glad to hear you resolved your problem - and that MakeMKV was not at fault ;>}Turns out this is a codec problem...
