I am getting "failed to download or disabled" every time.

Actually, it does. In the 1st thread, Mike states that with an automatic key update, MKBv72 is now supported in the current MakeMKV version... assuming your drive FW enables LibreDrive. Traditionally, this would require a program update.

Do you have "Allow contacting web server..." (Preferences > General) checked?

If yes, the "failed to download or disabled" is answered in the 2nd thread. Many DNS servers are NOT updating the necessary record for the key server, resulting in the message you report. The 'fix' has been to try a different DNS server after flushing the local DNS cache (or simply rebooting router, then PC if you don't know how).

You can TRY manually downloading https://www.makemkv.com/svq/sdf.bin & placing in your MakeMKV data directory (specified in Preferences > General) & restarting MakeMKV. That MIGHT work around the issue, but hardly constitutes a long-term solution.
