Tried over and over to no avail. Here is the error code:

After this last line it will sit and run for 10 minutes and then revert back to the disk load page.

Any suggestions?

Code: Select all

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:NO SEEK COMPLETE' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00001.m2ts' at offset '748222464'
Your drive is telling you it can't read the disk. This is the route cause of your difficulty.
Home Theater PC: Assassin HTPC, XBMCbuntu 12.0 (Frodo), Intel i5 3570k 3.4 GHz Ivy Bridge w/ HD 4000, LG BD-ROM
Playback Devices: Mede8er MED600X3D, MyGica EnjoyTV 120, Xtreamer SideWinder 3, Crystal Acoustics MediaMatchBox

So its the BR drive then? I'd assume there are no workarounds for this then?

Not necessarily the drive, but it is one of the possibilities. More likely is scratches on the disk that make it so the drive can't see the sectors it is trying to find, dirt doing the same thing, or a badly-mastered disk.

First step is cleaning the disk in question, and maybe waxing it (I use Pledge furniture polish to do both at once).

MEDIUM ERROR:NO SEEK COMPLETE
Number 1 probable cause for this is a damaged or dirty disk. Have you tried another one for isolation purposes yet?

I know this is a decade bump, but I just wanted to say I had the same issue, only on this disc. I think there's something screwy with this bluray.
