Failed to Open Disc

Post by letting1 »

I'm backing up a 2 disc blu-ray from an iso. The first disc was fine but the second disc throws an error: Failed to open disc.

The debug log says this:

Can anyone figure out what's happening and suggest a solution?

There's probably something wrong with how the ISO was created. I'm just guessing.

Thanks for the reply. You could be right. I got the same sort of error on another ISO, but it may be the same cause - ISO not created correctly.

I am all of a sudden getting "Failed to open disc errors on every disc I try. The drive reads the discs fine and they are in good shape. Title comes up in the Label section at the top. I don't know what to do, please help.

The drive probably isn't getting enough power. If it is powered by USB, make sure all the USB plugs are in high powered ports.

Wow you all are so smart and such a lifesaver!!! That seems to have worked. I did change my USB setup around. Oddly I was able to do two movies before this issue started occurring. Should probably check the quality of those two.
Thanks so much!!!!!!
