Hard coded subtitles query and issue on 'The Mummy' BluRay

I appreciate that this is an oldish thread but I’m posting this to give an alternative solution to that posted previously.
I have just re-ripped this film and discovered this missing sub-title problem that I hadn’t previously realised.
My boxset came bundled with a UHD and Blu-ray Disc so I ripped the Blu-ray version as well: it has far less subtitle tracks. Sure enough, the track I wanted was present.
I then opened both files in mkvtoolnix and deselected all the Blu-ray tracks (colour coding the tracks is really useful!) apart from the subtitle track I wanted. As an added bonus I was able to set the flags on this track to make it the default and thus automatically selected by my player.
The resulting 4k/ Blu-ray combo works well.
