Well, you got a good copy. If it were me, I'd save a copy of the debug log, blame it on this disc & move on. If it happens again on another disc, send both logs to Mike with a description of the problem. Or wait to see if this hits his radar & he responds here? YMMV

See my response. It's due to seamless branching. I see the msgs as unnecessary noise... unless debugging a specific A/V sync issue. Again, YMMV

was just reading that - had never turned it on - I think I will turn it back off

Does not appear to be fixed in 1.14.1. It's still chewing on opening the the disc 11 minutes later and less than 50% done.

I also had issues with this disk on v1.14.1 (Mac version). Aborted the first indexing read because it was still cranking (literally the drive sounded sick) after 35 minutes. Restored version 1.12.3, worked like a charm - done in 4 mins or so.

Issues seem to still be plaguing 1.14.1.

I'm trying to get the Redbox version and I get these errors. I'm making the 0080 .mpls source file.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm running 1.14.2 on MacOS 10.14.2 (Mojave)

Try cleaning the disc. That happens to me sometimes even on brand new, directly out of the package, discs. Being from Redbox, I'd say the likelihood of that being the problem jumps about a million percent.

Rookie mistake by me. I always inspect the disc first, and missed this one. Cleaned it, but there's a couple scratches on the disc, so probably won't be able to finish - I'm on the third attempt. Not surprised it's damaged considering it's a kids film. And I thought BD discs were supposed to be really hard to damage.

In reality, BDs are much more fragile than DVDs, if only because they require more precise focus to read.

Something I reserve for borderline disks - Pledge furniture polish. It's water-based, so it doesn't damage the surface, it is good at cutting through fingerprints, and it fills in minor scratches enough that many disks can be read at least once.

Spray it on, rub it in with a clean finger (circular motion!) until it starts to get sticky, then buff it off with a clean, soft cotton cloth. Work radially (across the disk, not going around the disk) with the cloth. As soon as it is dry, rip it.

It's worked for me with kid-tested disks.

But alas, it’s not working. Thank you for the suggestion. While the disc is remarkably clean, it still won’t rip. I’ll definitely try the Pledge trick again.
