I've just done a fresh install of version 1.9.5 on Windows 10 Pro (64-bit). The install process runs without error and puts files into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV
Here's the list of files it creates:
aac-stereo.mmcp.xml
default.mmcp.xml
flac.mmcp.xml
libdriveio.dll
libdriveio64.dll
libfdk.dll
libfdk64.dll
libffm.dll
libffm64.dll
libmakemkv.dll
libmakemkv64.dll
libmmbd.dll
libmmbd64.dll
libmqt.dll
License.rtf
MakeMKV.url
makemkv_chi.mo.gz
makemkv_dan.mo.gz
makemkv_deu.mo.gz
makemkv_dut.mo.gz
makemkv_fra.mo.gz
makemkv_ita.mo.gz
makemkv_jpn.mo.gz
makemkv_nor.mo.gz
makemkv_pol.mo.gz
makemkv_ptb.mo.gz
makemkv_spa.mo.gz
makemkv_swe.mo.gz
makemkvcon.exe
makemkvcon64.exe
mmdtsdec.exe
Readme.rtf
uninst.exe
wdtv.mmcp.xml
Sadly makemkv.exe is missing. When I run the shortcut (from the Start Menu) windows reports that it can't find makemkv.exe.
Windows 10 install, no makemkv.exe
Re: Windows 10 install, no makemkv.exe
Turns out this was caused by Avast 2015, which thinks that MakeMKV.exe is infected with a virus. Can anyone confirm please that this is a known false-positive:
Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]

Re: Windows 10 install, no makemkv.exe
AVG says it is not infected, and I've been running it since it came out, with a couple of dozen virus signature updates.

When in doubt, post to virustotal.com
If you get multiple hits with major virus engines, not a good sign, if you get just a few with them all having fairly generic descriptors (Trojan.Gen for example) it's likely a false positive that you'd want to submit to the particular company for review. If you're like me you then go ahead and disable the A/V just during install, then re-scanning post install.

All clean, I'm guessing you didn't download makemkv directly from the makemkv.com website and should delete the installer and try again.

Re: Windows 10 install, no makemkv.exe
I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2016 with Win 10 Pro 64-bit and I have had no problems. May just be an Avast thing.
