Can't play back ripped Prometheus

am I doing something wrong. I'm using the latest MakeMKV on an i5 Mac Mini. I can generally play the mkv output files with VLC, but the Prometheus output is just noise, with an occasional legible frame.

This is the 2d blu Ray of Prometheus.

Several possibilities, centered on the CODECs used for either the video or audio. A current version of VLC should be able to handle just about anything, though.

When you're playing the files, what does VLC show on the Codec tab of the Information screen?
