I have having trouble pulling the trailer off the Goonies disk. The video is coming off scrambled like it is not been correctly decrypted. I am using version 1.8.2, and the disk is good.

Does the trailer play properly from your original, commercial disc (on the same system you used to rip the trailer?

Yeah. Its perfect on the disk. It seems like it is not being properly decrypted.
