AACS protection on new Cannibal Ferox disc

Post by Barrus »

I recently bought the new release "Cannibal Ferox" from Studio S Entertainment. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Cannibal ... ay/409411/
As I tried to rip it with MakeMKV i got two error messages and I can't make an MKV of the disc.
This is what it says:
This disc uses newer version of AACS protection. Please let us know about it by visiting http://www.makemkv.com/a/?SKQTcwk0vcrnJ ... JUpePJMw==
I followed the link and i could read this at the MakeMKV-website: Thank you. Your input will help us make the program better.

And then MakeMKV also says this:
Saved AACS dump file as D:/MKB_v82_Cannibal_Ferox_AB08.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
My question now is... is this because this movie just got released and uses a new encryption which MakeMKV can't handle yet?
And will the software be able to handle this disc in the near future so I can rip it? I don't really know how it works with that report I did when following that link.

I am new to this, so I don't really know what I can expect, or what this will mean.
Thank you for any kind and helpful answer :)

The answer is "Yes, provided you email that TGZ file to svq@makemkv.com."

You could also upload that file into a file host such as OneDrive or Google Drive, and then reply here with a public download link, because this would allow people to try adding your disk to the public KEYDB.cfg file as well.

Thank you for your kindness and help.
I didn't know that I should email the file, but I did it now.
Unfortunately I don't use onedrive or googledrive, but I zipped the TGZ-file and uploaded it here, I hope that is alright: https://limewire.com/?referrer=pq7i8xx7p2

I'd be very thankful for any help.

No worries, but could you also make that file publicly accessible please?
