Thank you! I had a single episode from a TV show DVD that came out at the wrong aspect ratio. The other episodes on the disc came out fine with Makemkv, but one was stretched for some reason. I tried MKVToolNIX as you suggested, and was able to fix it.Grauhaar wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 9:10 amIf I remember right, there was an similar posting during the last weeks.
The solution was to respecify the MKV header settings by using "MKVToolNIX GUI". Load the mkv file in MKVToolNIX and set the aspect ratio for the video stream (lower right corner "Video properties") to 16:9 and remuxx the mkv file. Maybe it helps ...
Changes Aspect Ratio

Re: Changes Aspect Ratio
Slightly off-topic but when I was still using Zidoo X10 their built in player was not able to stretch any DVD remuxes according to this AR flag in MKV. There are even threads about this on their website and they never fixed it. I had to manually set the aspect ratio for every single DVD remux video. That is why I do not trust any Android box with custom players, only Kodi and only on hardware that can decode using "software rendering"... You never know what glitch is hiding in the firnware there!
