Good to hear everything is ethernetted up.

Not used one of those routers. This sort of thing can be hard to troubleshoot long range, hell, they're hard to troubleshoot in person. However, there are some things that spring to mind that could be causing it.

How does your NAS share data? If it's an embedded linux system, is it using the newest version of Samba? In the past it's been rather slow.

It could be the networking interface in your router being unable to negotiate the right speed with your Oppo. If this is the case it'll drop down to the lowest speed it can (probably 10mb/s).

It could be a damaged ethernet cable causing packet loss, try swapping them all out.

Could be a setting on your router. Turn off all the firewall, DMZ and other security features.

The router might be having buffer overflow options from too much data. My old 2wire router had this problem.

Those are just the things that spring to mind. Network troubleshooting is a bitch. The best you can do it change 1 piece of equipment at a time and see if it makes it better, or worse, then move on to the next thing.

Good luck!

I think it could be the laptop? I can play a blu through the plextor fine, it rips dvd's fine, just certain blurays I get the issue. My mate has the same drive different laptop(newer) and he has not had a single problem. Mine is a old 2007 macbook.....

You mean the laptop is causing problems as it rips them? Not likely, but easy to test if you borrow someone elses laptop!

This has nothing to do with your buffering and drop out issues.
