Any workaround for discs not recognized after firmware downgrade?

Post by Wherch »

I recently downgraded my LG WH16NS40 to 1.02 to enable LibreDrive, following the instructions from the forums. Flash went fine and MakeMKV shows LibreDrive enabled.

However, now some of my UHD discs aren’t recognized at all. The drive spins but doesn’t load MakeMKV just says No disc inserted. These same discs worked before the downgrade.

Is there something I missed?

Do I need to use a different SDF tool version?

Should I try 1.03-MK firmware instead?

WH16NS60 1.02-MK is the recommended firmware.

Let the OS initialize the disc before opening MakeMKV. Clean the disc if it has trouble reading it.
Cheers :D
