Creating ISO of Blu-ray Disc with Hashcheck Errors
Creating ISO of Blu-ray Disc with Hashcheck Errors
I have a disc that has hashcheck errors even after cleaning. I've seen mention of blessing the disc with makemkvcon info to allow creating an ISO in ImgBurn but I cannot find any instructions on how this done. Is blessing a Linux term? I would like to try creating an ISO of this disc in Windows but can't find any instructions on doing that either. Can anyone point to instructions on how to create an ISO of copy protected Blu-rays in Windows? Thanks!
Re: Creating ISO of Blu-ray Disc with Hashcheck Errors
In the context of MakeMKV, what people mean when they say 'bless' is to do a thing that forces MakeMKV to access the disc in some way, thus making sure that LibreDrive is loaded and operating. 'makemkvcon info' is an example of the command line version of MakeMKV being used to do the bless step.

I've never needed to try using ddrescue or something similar on a disc, so I can't vouch that it works, but others say they've had success.

Thanks for clearing that up. Much appreciated.
