Disc read fails despite prior success?

Does anyone know what might cause a disc read to fail with a "newer encryption" error even though that disc has worked in the past? The only things that may have changed recently are a patched firmware on the drive about a month ago, and maybe the beta key expired? (I dont see a new key yet) However, the application was open from before the key was expired and processed another disc immediately before it fine. This disc is part of the 007 bluray collection, and so far all the other discs have had no issues. I have processed all of these discs before with no problems.
