Yes, there is a bug in the Mac OS Lion version. MakeMKV doesn't download the neccesary SVQ files and therefore fails to open the Blu-Ray.
"Automatic SVQ downloading is disabled or failed. "
A quick fix would be greatly appreciated.

Any hope of a Linux version of 1.6.15? I have been waiting since release day to backup X-Men.
Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set
The built-in SVQ should handle the discs just fine.AKW_Kovu wrote:Yes, there is a bug in the Mac OS Lion version. MakeMKV doesn't download the neccesary SVQ files and therefore fails to open the Blu-Ray.
I just used MakeMKV 1.6.15 successfully rip A New Hope without downloading any SVQ file.
I have the UK discs.
Edit: if it doesn't work for your disc, send the dump: http://makemkv.com/svq/

Thanks, even right now the Linux post links to 1.6.14, and I did refresh and even tried a different browser.
Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set
The built-in SVQs don't seem to work in the Lion version. I sent the dump like a week ago. It's the "normal" Star Wars retail Blu-Ray version. There shouldn't be any differences.Romansh wrote:The built-in SVQ should handle the discs just fine.AKW_Kovu wrote:Yes, there is a bug in the Mac OS Lion version. EDIT: I have the german version. But I doubt it is a different BD+ version...

1.6.15 can't make a decrypted backup of X-Men First Class. It keeps failing when it gets to the digital copy files.

@kjhgshadow
Hi!
1) Make an ENCRYPTED Full Disc copy to your hard drive (All files and folders, NOT an .ISO image file)
2) Delete the "DCOPY" (or whatever name is used) folder
3) Use this modified ENCRYPTED copy as your source for using MakeMKV to make a DECRYPTED Full Disc copy (By selecting "Open Files" and then selecting either "index.bdmv" or "MovieObject.bdmv" from the "BDMV" folder).

Does anyone know the right combination to choose for english sub-titles? If I choose all of the English ones I get the sub-titles but I also get some other random words at the top of the screen. My guess is director comentatory?
Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set
^^ The same still goes for X-Men: FC.
jones,
I check-marked the first selection of forced subtitles and unmarked all the rest. So far, it's worked though I've only watched Phantom Menace and still need to finish ripping Episodes V and VI.

Hello,
StarWars still makes some trouble. I have the german star wars version. Disc1 stil doesn't open but I tried disc 2 and 3 and both works. Makemkv says for disc 1 BD+ 2011.8 and for disc2 BD+ 2011.7
greetings

Wow, thanks for the info. I didn't even think about bring the other Blu-Rays when the first didn't work. I'll try them all out now.
I sent in the dump for the first Blu-Ray when it first came out and yesterday again, hoping it can provide some help.

Star wars still seems to be buggy. I just wanted to stream Episode 1 and MakeMKV sometimes randomly crashes with fatal errors both on Linux and on OSX 10.6...
Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set
I can now confirm that Episode II - VI all work fine with MakeMKV.
Episode I still doesn't work because of the used BD+.
