No Sound When Ripping BD
No Sound When Ripping BD
I am new to MakeMKV and just tried my first rip. I am using AnyDVD for protection breaking and then MakeMKV for the rip. I got it to rip the disc and the video looks great but there is no audio and I verified that ALL the audio selections were checked for my first rip. Any ideas what I did wrong guys?
Re: No Sound When Ripping BD
Why are you using a ripping tool, then using a ripping tool? MakeMKV can rip Blurays direct... No need for AnyDVD, and no chance that the "dual rip" is going to hide audio tracks from you.

In addition to what Woodstock said, MediaInfo can tell you lots of details about .mkv files, including all the audio tracks present in the file.
Assuming the audio tracks you expect are there, often it is the case that the playback software doesn't know how to play audio in a particular format. Usually the format is DTS and the player is Windows Media Player (which doesn't speak DTS by default). VLC is a reasonable player that understands most audio formats by default. Give it a try.
