That’s actually a good question, I didn’t really check that so far :D
AFAICT the "normal videos" play just fine.
That’s "normal videos" as opposed to "special videos" in the sense of things like "photo galleries" and "interactive exploration of trivia" and other things like that which are often included as bonus material.

A superficial check indicates that the ones where makemkv took a long time are all broken. But not all that are broken took a long time, it seems.
Now that I have gone through them, I can say that all of the broken ones are special in that they are "character profiles" and "equipment description" specials that are supposed to be explored via the bluray menu (I’m guessing a bit here from the looks of it).
I have marked all of this kind of specials with "SV" below

Interestingly everything went well for 4 of these: 01, 03, 05, 07 (these are the italian, spanish, german, french variants, probably doesn’t mean anything, though).

I guess it might mean something which kind of content has been causing these issues, right?

Any suggestions what to do now?
If anyone is willing to test running makemkv on the backup files I created to see if it behaves the same for them (and hopefully even debug this, if it’s the case), please send me a message and I will provide a download link.

I still have the "backup" of the disc lying around, as I still think this is probably a bug in makemkv that it does not deal with these files correctly.
Before deleting them to free up something like 80GB on my hard disk, I thought I’d ask one last time: does anyone want to look into this? Should I provide these files for other people to test with?
