Well, Linux and your drive certainly think it's an error, because that's what they're reporting to MakeMKV. MakeMKV is limited by what the operating system reports.

No luck with this one on 1.9.4 for me on Windows 7 machine.

So, two drives, two different operating systems, and both think VTS_14_1.VOB is unreadable in spots.

Have you cleaned the disk, and checked it for scratches?

Yes. I looked the disk over and cleaned it for good measure. Ran it again and got the same errors.
