error ripping Spiderman 3

Trying to rip Spider-Man 3 fails everytime, I have tried 2 Discs 1 brand new and 1 ex rental and tried 2 PCs running different OS.

MakeMKV can't make up for a hard failure like that. For some reason, the drive is not returning data within a prescribed period of time, when MakeMKV asks it to read that particular VOB file from the disk.

Are you getting the SAME error from both machines, both disks?

Yes was getting the same for both discs on both machines but I have to report this is now fixed with version 1.8.1 and all is now ripped perfectly.
