Shawshank Redemption - Skipped due to navigation error

I'm having a problem with The Shawshank Redemption, where the main title is skipped due to "navigation error"
Using direct disc access mode
Calculated BUP offset for VTS #3 does not match one in IFO header.
Signature is invalid in IFO file
Signature is invalid in IFO file
Title #0 has length of 19 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 400 seconds and was therefore skipped
Complex multiplex encountered - 13 cells and 8200 VOBUs have to be scanned. This may take some time, please be patient - it can't be avoided.
Title #1 (2:16:34) was skipped due to navigation error
Complex multiplex encountered - 1 cells and 2875 VOBUs have to be scanned. This may take some time, please be patient - it can't be avoided.
Title #2 was added (1 cell(s), 0:47:54)
Title #3 in broken titleset was skipped
Title #4 in broken titleset was skipped
Operation successfully completed
I've tried 3 times cleaning the disc in-between and it consistent.

Any ideas what I need to do please?

Many thanks,

Steve.

Hi!

Sounds like the disc is irretrievably damaged (not necessarily visible).

I'd suggest you return it to the place of purchase in exchange for a new replacement...

Interesting. I've had read errors before, but they usually show up as SCSI error of some sort. In this case it just seems to lose interest in the title and moves on to another.

Does MakeMKV not usually give an indication of some sort if the issue is physical?

Thanks, Steve.
