I have used the free version of MakeMkv for a short time and decided to buy a licence because it worked so well....
The first blu ray after registration was Star Trek II... first attempt gave wobbly audio, second was better.
Second disc was ' The Orville season 1' dvd. constant error message 'Failed to save title XX' despite many tries. I tried 2 different disc drives, on 2 different systems. Same result
Googled this and found out that the disc has Disney copy protection - which I thought MakeMkv could handle. Unfortunately not. I ended up having to use WinX dvd ripper that did not have any issues but the functionality/quality extremely limited.
Is this issue likely to be resolved? I dont want to have continual problems having just spent money to transfer my video collection to my NAS because I am finding it harder to handle the physical discs due to age.
I hope it is just a coincidence that the purchase and the issues occured at the same time but it does point to Murphys law
