Getting Error When Trying to RIP: The Day The Earth Blew Up - Looney Tunes Movie

I have tried and retried to RIP the movie: "The Day The Earth Blew Up - A Looney Tunes Movie" and I keep getting an error:
Error 'OS error - STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED' occurred while reading 'BD-RE ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.10 KLQM7TF1909' at offset '32768'
I have unplugged my Asus External DVD Ripper, rebooted my Windows 11 PC, wiped down the disc a couple times, but I keep getting the same error. I have tried using other DVDs, but they work just fine. Any ideas on what I can do to resolve this? Thank you.

UPDATE: Since I haven't received any responses and I believe I have exhausted troubleshooting methods, I'm returning the DVD to Amazon for a replacement. Hopefully, this one will work.

I received the new DVD for "The Day the Earth Blew Up" (Looney Tunes Movie) and I'm still unable to RiP this DVD because I'm getting the same error:
Error 'OS error - STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED' occurred while reading 'BD-RE ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.10 KLQM7TF1909' at offset '32768'
There doesn't appear to be any scratches on the DVD. Could this be an issue where MakeMKV is unable to decrypt the content?
Any help to Rip this movie would be appreciated.

How is your drive powered? Is it powered via USB or does it have a separate power supply plugged into the wall?
If it is powered via USB, make sure both USB-A plugs are plugged into high powered ports.
An error like:
Code: Select all
Error 'OS error - STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED' occurred while reading 'BD-RE ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.10 KLQM7TF1909' at offset '1048576'
usually means the operating system noticed the drive disappeared while it was being used. In the case of USB powered drives, it is possible for MakeMKV to spin the drive fast enough that the drive needs more power than the USB port can provide. When this happens, the drive 'reboots' in the middle of a rip, ruining it.
Ironically, this is more likely to happen on a very clean disc. MakeMKV slows down the read rate with discs that it has trouble reading correctly since reading slower often improves the chances of getting a good rip. On very clean discs, MakeMKV can go as fast as the drive can go, sometimes exceeding the power available to the drive.
