i have a dell computer and it has a dvd blueray burner it will not copy unless i use a old dell dvd burner is it a firware issue i wonder

Some information on what errors you see would be helpful. At the very least, what does MakeMKV say about the drive?

basically i have a dell computer blue ray dvd burner that isn't on any of the downgrade offers I've tried many times when new versions come out but it seems that when i come into contact with a drive that won't copy i just use my handy dandy trusty dell 2016 dvd burner i bot many years ago it seems that there is a difference I've tried it on make mkv and dvd fab and the same issue is there but when i switch to my dell 20016 burner it works just fine on both mkv and dvd fab this is my pondering i experimented to find all this stuff out
