Can't run DVD on MakeMKV v1.17.7 on Windows 10

I have purchased a Matshita BD-MLT UJ240AS external hard drive to play DVDs and Blu-Rays on, or even rip, but unfortunately the the 1.17.7 version on Windows 10 wouldn't open anything.
