Unable to access / rip 9/11: One Day in America

Post by Kelenoise »

Good evening,

I'm trying to rip this documentary, 6 Episodes on 2 Disks.
MakeMKV tries to load the dvd disk information when inserted, but hangs about half way. I'm never able to click on the button to tell MakeMKV to access the disk contents and such.

I'm also unable to play both disks with VLC or any other tools. I was however able to rip 1 episode partly with one (VideoByte DVD Ripper) and fully with another tool (DVD Fab 13; both in trial version), so it has to be a problem within MakeMKV. I can't figure out tho why it fails.

The DVDs are for all regions according to the box, and my drive is able to read all regions according to the libre drive information.

I hope you can help me with my issue. Drive info and debug log attached in quotes. These are the first dvd's that give me troubles (also the first ones i imported from somewhere else) of about 200ish dvd's overall i ripped so far.

---Edit---
I've been able to create folder backups of both dvds with DVD Fab, then used ImgBurn to create ISO's of them, which i've now been able to successfully load into MakeMKV. Attaching the edit for people with the same issues.
