I am unable to rip a copy of "Tora! Tora! Tora!" on DVD - UK release. It simply shows the drive as empty. Wondered if anyone else had issues. MakeMKV seems to Rip everything else perfectly.

I ran it as administrator, and have a paid version.

You could try gently cleaning the disc perhaps.
