When I try to rip a dual layered DVD that contain both the full screen and the widescreen movie in it, I only see the full screen movie in MakeMKV. Playing the movie lets me choose the aspect ratio on the DVD menu just fine, but when I try to rip the disc on MakeMKV, it only shows me the full screen file. I've noticed it with a couple of discs. I've tried ripping those discs with more than one drive, and both drives had the same problem.

What could be going on here and how can I fix it?

It doesn't matter if the disk has 1 or more layers - the directory is all on the first layer.

Without more details, it is impossible to tell what you're seeing.
