DVD Backup Questions

So I recently saw that MakeMKV now can create decrypted ISO backups of DVDs and was wondering if anyone here had any more info about it. I'll go to the forums if nobody knows here.
Questions:
Is there any way to verify these backups? I used to open in MakeMKV to decrypt, use DD to create an ISO, and then use ImgBurn to verify the output file. Because this decrypts the DVD, the ImgBurn verification no longer works.
Is there a way to convert previously made ISOs to decrypted ISOs? I know there is a method for Blu-Rays, but this is a different process.
