I have tried this a few times and even obtained another disk, but MakeMKV continues to fail:

MakeMKV v1.17.1 win(x64-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
Title #1 was added (67 cell(s), 1:49:35)
Title #2 has length of 10 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #4 has length of 7 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Operation successfully completed
Saving 1 titles into directory D:/Video/JAZZ_03
Failed to save title 0 to file D:/Video/JAZZ_03/C1_t00.mkv
0 titles saved, 1 failed

Better late then never ... Jazz DVD Disk 3 and Disk 10 fail to rip as described above. The workaround I've found is to choose to not rip the second subtitle track, which is a lossy subtitle track, apparently poorly mastered onto the DVDs.
