New error with 1.17.0

Post by keithhelms »

I've been using dvdbackup on Linux to copy dvds to the hard drive then running makemkv to extract titles from the vobs. Before 1.17.0 I got a lot of corrupt data found errors on some discs. 1.17.0 seems to work a lot better, but on a couple of discs I get a new error and makemkvcon seems to stop running but does not actually terminate.

MSG:2003,0,3,"Error 'Internal error - Input parameter is incorrect (489)' occurred while reading '/media/keith/Elements2tb1/dvdbackup/tvseries/Andromeda/S1C5D1/Andromeda Vol5 Disc A/VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_0.BUP' at offset '0'","Error '%1' occurred while reading '%2' at offset '%3'","Internal error - Input parameter is incorrect (489)","/media/keith/Elements2tb1/dvdbackup/tvseries/Andromeda/S1C5D1/Andromeda Vol5 Disc A/VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_0.BUP","0"

I second this.

I have a DVD folder (decrypted) which I try convert to MKVs. It has 4 titles 3 of which extract just fine. But one results in the above error (v1.17.2)

Tried v1.16.5 — same error, though this time code 477 not 489.

Note that VLC plays the DVD folder just fine, including the title that fails to extract.
