The disk has sections the drive cannot read.

From the log, there are two possible scenarios; If the drive is powered by a USB port, the drive has trouble getting enough power when spinning the disk fast, and it resets. As a USB3 drive, it should be plugged in to a fully-powered USB3 port.

If it was mounted internally as a SATA drive, the errors indicate that the drive drive is trying VERY HARD to read those sections, to the point that the operating system thinks it has gone off-line.

In the first case, making sure the drive has adequate power is important. In the second case, cleaning the disk is your first step in attacking the problem.
