Failed Copy

The DVD is new but when converting it fails. Any idea what I can do?
Does the DVD claim on the box to have "Closed Captioning"?
Some disks indicate they have CC but do not really; Try un-checking the CC subtitle track from the title to see if the disk will then rip.
