I have noticed with every DVD I try to insert into my system that MakeMKV doesn't see them and that I have open them on the file level, were as the BluRAYs I insert MakeMKV sees and let me rip them.

The 2nd issue is I tried inserted DVD 1 of season 13 from my TopGear collection and tried to load the VideoTS and MakeMKV fails. If I load it up in VLC to watch the DVD it works without any issues.

I am using version:
MakeMKV v1.14.2 [win(x64-release)]
GUI version: v1.14.2 [win(x86-release)]

Running Windows 10 v1809, fully patched, no AV is installed.

Most likely, Windows is trying to open the DVD instead of letting MakeMKV see it. This would have the effect of hiding certain structures from MakeMKV, so it would think it's not a DVD.
