Not Splitting Correctly into episodes

I have been encoding all of my TV series into MKV files for my media setup. Most have worked perfectly, but some makemkv doesnt seem to correctly see the different episodes. ie instead of 'title1' being a complete episode it could be multiple episodes, OR it splits the disc into LOTs of segments all of about 5minutes?

Debug log started at Fri Aug 13 22:05:35 2010 , written by MakeMKV v1.5.8 win(x64-release)
Using 524544KB for read cache.
001005:0000 MakeMKV v1.5.8 win(x64-release) started
001004:0000 Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as C:\Users\Matthew/MakeMKV_log.txt
003007:0000 Using direct disc access mode
003025:0000 Title #0 has length of 29 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
003028:0000 Title #1 was added (20 cell(s), 1:22:59)
005011:0000 Operation sucessfully completed

This was Will & Grac eseason 4 disc one. All seasons 1-4 seem to do this, seasons 5-8 work perfectly.

Any help would be most appreciated

cheers

MakeMKV converts titles from DVDs pretty much in the same format as they were mastered. It's common for older titles to have a single gigantic file with all episodes. Can you provide a log for a disc where it split episodes into small segments?

I have gone back to the series and looking more closely it seems to just be all the extras (there seems to be quite a lot) as there is still one file that is almost the entire size of the dvd. Is there any way to split these large files up, without using soemthing like a video editor and manually telling it which frame to split at?

Not with MakeMKV. Search this forum for "split by chapters". You can do it with mkvtoolnix.
