Copy Protection error on Lord of The Rings DVD

I have used MakeMKV successfully on other DVDs. On this disk I get the following errors:

Are you running MakeMKV as an administrator or a regular user? The log indicates that Windows is getting in the way of the key exchange.

Just noticed this:
Opening files on harddrive at D:/VIDEO_TS
What did you use to get the files onto the hard drive? Or is Windows mis-reporting that drive D: is a hard drive?

Sorry for necroposting, but since no possible tricks were posted I decided ill post one for anyone googling.

Some possible fixes:
- Run makemkv as admin
- Take out and put back in the DVD
- Close MakeMKV, open dvddecrypter (get from videohelp or dvddecrypter.org.uk only) and use it's feature to change the DVD drive's region to the same one as the DVD disc.

You only get 5 region changes with most drives, then you're "stuck" on that region. It is bad to change it unnecessarily, because MakeMKV can usually work around it. I have not had any disk that it couldn't work around, and I've had disks from regions 1, 2, and 3 through my drives.
